Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 1 cup Alfredo sauce
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Dough:

  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll dough)

For Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, Alfredo sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed. This creamy, cheesy mixture is going to be the heart of your Crazy Puffs. Set aside.

Step 2: Roll Out the Dough

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the refrigerated pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface. If using crescent roll dough, pinch the seams together to create a smooth sheet. Cut the dough into even squares, about 3×3 inches in size.

Step 3: Fill and Seal the Puffs

Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the chicken Alfredo mixture into the center of each dough square. Be careful not to overfill, or the filling may ooze out during baking. Fold the dough over the filling, forming a triangle or a little pouch, and press the edges together with a fork to seal.

Step 4: Brush with Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush the tops of the puffs generously with this garlic butter mixture, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese for an extra layer of flavor.

Step 5: Bake Until Golden Brown

Place the puffs on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. The dough should be flaky, and the filling should be warm and gooey.

Step 6: Serve and Enjoy

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes. These are best served warm, with extra Alfredo sauce or marinara on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • These puffs are best enjoyed fresh but can be reheated in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • If using crescent roll dough, be gentle when sealing the edges to prevent filling leaks.
  • Store-bought Alfredo sauce works well, but homemade Alfredo sauce takes these to another level.
