Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Sizzling Ginger Beef and Broccoli Wok Magic


1 lb flank steak
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup broccoli florets
2 tablespoons cooking oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
1/2 cup oyster sauce
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon cornstarch


Slice the flank steak against the grain into thin pieces.
Lightly dust the beef with all-purpose flour to ensure it gets a nice crust.
In a large wok or pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until it is fully cooked.
Remove the beef from the pan, then add the garlic and ginger to the pan. Stir-fry until they are fragrant.
Add the broccoli florets, stir frying until they are tender but still crunchy.
In a small bowl, mix together the oyster sauce, water and cornstarch. Pour this sauce over the broccoli and garlic in the pan.
Return the beef to the pan and toss everything together until the beef and broccoli are evenly coated with the sauce.
