Hamburger Rice Casserole

Hearty Beef and Rice Oven Delight


1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 cup uncooked rice
2 cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon soy sauce
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bell pepper over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the fat.
Add the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour, or until the rice is tender.
Remove the foil, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
