Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients:

4 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, combine the fresh blackberries and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Stir to coat the blackberries with sugar and spread them evenly in the prepared baking dish.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the whole milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.
Pour the batter over the blackberries in the baking dish, spreading it as evenly as possible.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 45-50 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and the blackberries are bubbly.
Remove the Blackberry Cobbler from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
