Crock Pot Honey Bourbon Chicken Recipe

An Irresistible Slow Cooker Dish Bursting with Sweet and Savory Flavors!

Ingredients:

2 pounds chicken, boneless and skinless
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup bourbon
1/4 cup ketchup
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Directions:

Season the chicken with salt and pepper, then place it in your crock pot.
In a bowl, mix together the honey, soy sauce, chicken broth, bourbon, ketchup, garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes. Pour this mixture over the chicken in the crock pot.
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
Remove the chicken from the crock pot and shred it with two forks. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir this mixture into the sauce in the crock pot.
Return the shredded chicken to the crock pot and stir well to coat the chicken with the sauce.
Cover and cook on high for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the sauce is thickened.
Serve the honey bourbon chicken over rice or noodles, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
