Philly Cheesesteak

Authentic Philadelphia Cheesesteak Sandwich

Ingredients:

1/2 lb ribeye steak
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 large onion
1 green bell pepper
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 slices provolone cheese
4 hoagie rolls

Directions:

Slice the ribeye steak into thin strips and season it with salt and pepper.
Heat the canola oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak strips and cook until browned.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the onions and green bell pepper and cook until they are softened.
Divide the steak strips evenly among the hoagie rolls.
Top each with the cooked onions and peppers and a slice of provolone cheese.
Place the sandwiches under the broiler for a few minutes, just until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
