Ingredients:

4 cups fresh blueberries
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt

Directions:

In a slow cooker, combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
Cook the mixture on low heat for 8 hours or on high heat for 4 hours, stirring occasionally.
After the cooking time, the blueberries should be soft and tender.
Use an immersion blender or a potato masher to puree the blueberries until smooth and creamy.
Continue to cook the pureed blueberries on low heat, with the lid slightly ajar, for an additional 2 hours or until the mixture has thickened to a butter-like consistency.
Once the Blueberry Butter has reached the desired thickness, turn off the slow cooker and let it cool completely.
Transfer the Blueberry Butter to sterilized glass jars and store them in the refrigerator.
Enjoy the homemade Blueberry Butter on toast, pancakes, waffles, or as a delightful spread for scones and muffins.
