Creamy Cucumber Salad Recipe

A Refreshingly Cool and Crisp Salad Perfect for Summer!


4 medium cucumbers, peeled if desired and thinly sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups sour cream
3 tablespoons white vinegar
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon dried dill
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Place the cucumbers and onion in a large bowl and sprinkle with the salt. Toss to combine, then let sit for about 20-30 minutes.
Drain off any excess liquid from the cucumbers and onion.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sour cream, white vinegar, sugar, and dill until smooth.
Pour the creamy dressing over the cucumbers and onion, then toss to coat.
Season the salad with freshly ground black pepper to taste.
You can serve the salad immediately, but it’s even better if you let it chill in the refrigerator for an hour or two before serving.
