Baked Gruyère in Pastry

Heavenly Gruyère Cheese Wrapped in Golden Pastry


1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 round Gruyère cheese
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
1 egg, beaten
Crackers or bread, for serving

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Place the cheese in the center of the pastry.
Drizzle the honey over the cheese, then sprinkle with the thyme leaves.
Fold the pastry over the cheese, sealing the edges with the beaten egg.
Brush the outside of the pastry with more of the beaten egg.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
Let rest for a few minutes before serving with crackers or bread.
