Lemon Strawberry Trifle

Sunshine Berry-Lemon Dream Trifle


1 angel food cake
2 pints fresh strawberries
2 cups heavy cream
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 lemon, zest and juice
1 box lemon instant pudding
2 cups milk


Start by preparing the lemon instant pudding according to the instructions on the box, using the 2 cups of milk. Let it set in the fridge.
In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, and lemon juice until soft peaks form.
Cut the angel food cake into cubes.
Layer the ingredients in a trifle dish. Start with a layer of cake, then add a layer of strawberries, a layer of whipped cream, and finally a layer of pudding. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
Make sure to end with a layer of whipped cream and garnish with a few strawberries and a sprinkle of lemon zest.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
