  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup red wine (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Cooked egg noodles for serving
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation Steps:

  1. In a bowl, combine beef stew meat, flour, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the meat is evenly coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes on all sides. Transfer to the crockpot.
